“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace…”
Personal and Professional Background
I am a graduate of Butler Catholic School. I have very fond memories, and love this school. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Slippery Rock University.
With the continued growth of Butler Catholic School over the last few years, I teach wherever the school needs me. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first, second, and fifth grades. I enjoy the change of pace, but most of all the great students.
I am very involved in our community and fundraising for things that are close to my heart. I have been honored to be Jr. Woman of The Year for my community service efforts, and I am also the co-founder of a park renovation group called Moms for a Good Change. I served on the Butler Catholic Athletic Association board for many years, as well as Football and Basketball Boosters.
When I am not involved with projects, I am spending time with my husband Matt and our children Nathaniel and Elizabeth. We are all BCS alumni, and enjoy doing things and being together. I love to cook and garden. I also enjoy yoga, jazzercise, and the surprises that each new day brings. Our family belongs to All Saints Parish, and my husband coaches basketball at Butler Catholic School.
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
It is hard to sum up how I feel about this wonderful school and the people that make it so special. Butler Catholic School instills in me a love for God and everyone around me. It also teaches me to give back, and always try to be a good person and help when needed. I hope to pass this along to my own children and the children I teach.
