Challenge of Champions
On November 11th, Butler Catholic School, in cooperation with the Nonpublic School Services of the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, held the annual problem solving competition, “Challenge of Champions.” Over 150 students participated, representing 7 nonpublic schools including, Butler Catholic School, Holy Sepulcher, New Castle Christian, St. John Paul II, St. Kilian, St. Vitus and St. Wendelin. This year’s theme competition was “Carnival of Challenges.” Students in grades 4th-8th were placed on grade-level teams formed from the various schools, and competed in six different attractions. This is the 24th year the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV has held these games for our students, and the 12th consecutive year that Butler Catholic has hosted the games. A special thank you to Mrs. Peggy King, MIU IV Act 89/Title I Resource teacher for organizing this wonderful event!
