All “Eyes” on Girls in Science

Special thanks to Dr. Susan Rehorek, Zoologist and Professor of Biology at Slippery Rock University, for speaking to our Girls in Science Group on Wednesday, December 13th. Dr. Rehorek gave an engaging talk on the difference between descriptive science and experimental science.  She then had the girls build a paper model of a human eyeball, and explained how a descriptive scientist can take was is known from a human eye, and apply it to design experiments used to study the eyes of animals.
