“Teaching young children a love of learning, building children’s self-esteem and increasing each child’s confidence level is essential for future success in school.”
Personal and Professional Background
This is my eighth year teaching preschool at Butler Catholic. I teach one of the Four Year-Old Preschool classes. I am an alumna of Butler Catholic School, and I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Clarion University of PA. I taught preschool elsewhere for several years, and I taught Kindergarten for 3 years in Tucker, GA.
Outside the classroom I love spending time with my husband and two children. My daughter, Savannah is in ninth grade and my son Evan is in fifth grade at Butler Catholic. I attend St. Fidelis parish, and my favorite prayer is Angel of God because it’s nice to know you are not alone – an angel has been assigned to guide you through each day in the big things as well as the small.
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
I believe Butler Catholic succeeds at fostering a child’s love of school and love of God. I am so glad to be back at my alma-mater, and the best thing about it is working with the wonderful preschool students. Each of them is so special in their own way. They keep me on my toes and make each day an adventure! They are a blessing! I am also thankful for the preschool parents who are a great support and pretty terrific as well!
Butler Catholic will continue to be a place that provides children, in our ever changing society, with a “God Centered” place to learn and grow.
