Catholic Schools Week Activities January 28-February 1
Sponsored by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), National Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. The annual observance takes place at the end of January each year, which this year is January 27 – February 2. The theme for the 2019 celebration is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” Butler Catholic is excited to participate in the celebration, and has a number of special activities planned for that week.
Celebrating our Parishes
Saturday January 26th & Sunday January 27th: Parish Mass Kickoff
To begin our celebration of Catholic Schools Week we have the opportunity to thank God for Catholic schools and share the good things happening at BCS by participating in Masses throughout the Butler Parish grouping. During the weekend of Saturday, January 26th and Sunday, January 27th, there will be 9 Masses offered at 5 sites where our children will have the opportunity to participate and serve. We encourage all families who are members of the parish grouping to sign up to and participate in one of the 9 Masses.
We also ask you to invite your family members and friends to attend Mass with you. If your child prefers to not participate in Mass (or your family is not a member of one of our 5 merger parishes), we still encourage you to come to one of the below Masses with your BCS student dressed in their school uniform. We also invite our BCS families to sit in the first few pews of the church, so we can celebrate and recognize your family’s commitment to Catholic education!
Mass times are as follows:
St. Andrew Church
St. Fidelis Church
Saturday 5:00pm, Sunday 8:30am, Sunday 11:30 am
