BCS Students Qualify for PMEA Seventh grader Julianne Bzorek and eighth grader Megan Eicher have been selected to participate in the PMEA District 5 Junior High Chorus Fest in January of 2025. They will be heading with BCS Director of Music Education Hannah Bossinger to Greenville Junior/Senior High School to participate along with 132 other 7th and 8th grade students in a day full of music. This experience will not only showcase their talents but also allow them to collaborate with other young musicians from various schools in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties.
BCS JV Fall Soccer Wins Championship The Butler Catholic School JV soccer team won the Pittsburgh Diocese USL Division Championship Nov. 3. Under the direction of Coach Ian Hammonds, the team beat South Hills Catholic 2-1 in the semifinal Nov. 2 and Ave Maria Academy in the final Nov. 3 with a score of 7-5. The BCS JV soccer team includes students in fourth, fifth, and sixth grade.
BCS Kicks Off Forensics Season The Butler Catholic School Forensics team participated in the first competition of the 2024-2025 season the weekend of Nov. 23 at Central Catholic. BCS placed third out of 19 teams, with fifth grader London Green and seventh grader Penelope Cummings earning perfect scores.
BCS Students Qualify for Honors Band Five Butler Catholic School students qualified for the North Hills Regional Catholic Elementary Schools Honors Band. Students from all eight NHRCES schools participated in auditions in January. Under the guidance of BCS Band Director Colton Croskey, the following BCS students will be participating in the April Honors Band concert:
