  Statement of Understanding
  
  I understand that the mission of Butler Catholic School, a community of faith, is to proclaim the message of Jesus and ensure the development of students who are self- motivated leaders, humble stewards and life-long learners, through a rigorous academic program and Christ-centered values.
  
  I understand that academics are a priority, and I intend to support, to the best of my ability, the academic programs of the school.
  
  I understand that as a faith-based school , we are called to service. Butler Catholic School encourages and values family participation. I understand that each K-8 Butler Catholic family is asked to complete 40 school service hours per year. Every 7th and 8th grade student must also complete 40 community service hours.
  
  I understand that tuition payments cover approximately 70% of the total cost to educate a child at Butler Catholic School, with the remainder comprised of parish financial support and fundraising. Therefore, family participation in fundraising is necessary to ensure the continued financial health of the school.
  
  I understand that part of my responsibilities as a Butler Catholic family will include participation in fundraising including the BC Bucks gift card program and our annual fundraisers.
