Thanks to a $25,000 grant from the A.J. and Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust Foundation every seventh and eighth grader at Butler Catholic School received a Google Chromebook this year to assist them in the classroom and at home.
This technology initiative is changing the way teaching is done at Butler Catholic, even going as far as replacing some of the student’s textbooks.
This is just one of a series of technological upgrades at Butler Catholic School. Preschool through eighth grade classrooms are fitted with smart boards, and there is school wide wireless internet access.
It is the school’s intention to continue its technology initiative and is hopeful with more grant money in the future, extend the Chromebook program to fifth and sixth grade students as well.
