Shoe Box Coolers
Can a specially designed shoe box keep an ice cube from melting? That was the task Mrs. Chobot assigned her eighth grade science students. Students were asked to build a cooler using a shoe box that would keep an ice cube from melting over the course of one school period. This was a new STEM project added to the curriculum this year in conjunction with the school’s new science series, Science Fusion. Students were very creative in their designs. Great job 8th graders!
