PJAS Regional Competition
Butler Catholic School had ten students compete at Slippery Rock University for the PJAS Regional Competition. The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) is a statewide organization designed to stimulate and promote interest in science among its members through the development of research projects and investigations. Congratulations to our BCS students for their excellent work in science. First awards went to: In eighth grade, Stella Swanson, Lacy Zagurskie, Nicholas Benec, Daniel Orsborn, Grace Foehringer, Katie Ravasio; in seventh grade, Aaron Short, Joshua Kelly, and Bridget Preston. Shaylee Walls, an eighth grader, received a second award for her project. The students who received first awards will compete at the State Competition at Penn State University in May.
