Olympic Day May 31, 2018

Butler Catholic students participated in the annual end-of-the-year Olympic Games on Thursday, May 31st.  It was a fun-filled day full of camaraderie and teamwork as students enjoyed playing 20 different games with their classmates in Kindergarten through 8th grade.  The day culminated in an exciting hockey game between 7th and 8th graders where the whole school cheered on the teams.  The “Winnipeg Jets” team beat the “Washington Capitals” team in a final shoot-out.  Special thanks to Mrs. Ritson and Coach Sky for organizing the day, and special birthday wishes to Coach Sky who celebrated his birthday on Olympic Day.  The entire school sang Coach Sky Happy Birthday in the gymnasium, and after the song, Sister John Ann reminded students that it would be the last time the whole school assembled and sat on those gym bleachers, as all new bleachers will be installed this summer. Olympic Day was a great success, and a wonderful way to bring the school year to a close!
