Mrs. Rensel’s Halloween Authors

Mrs. Rensel’s first grade reading class was charged with the task of writing their own Halloween book in which the main character was faced with a problem that must be resolved by the end of the story. The book itself was illustrated by the students with a main character that was cut out and moved along the story page-by-page.  Once the story was written and assembled, the books were read by each student-author to the Preschool and Kindergarten students at BCS.  As the first graders read their stories, their moveable character moved with them to each new page, which engaged and fascinated the younger student audience.  Congratulations to our first grade authors on a job well done!  Your books were frightfully fantastic!
