Challenge of Champions
On November 12th, Butler Catholic School hosted 222 students from 10 nonpublic schools for the annual “Challenge of Champions” competition. Butler Catholic School has hosted the “Challenge of Champions” Problem Solving Competition in cooperation with the Nonpublic School Services of the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV for the past five consecutive years. This year’s competition, “Once Upon A Challenge,” took students in grades 4th-8th on an enchanting adventure to use their imagination and skills to find solutions to various challenges. Students were placed on grade level teams that were formed from the various schools, and asked to compete in six different events in the areas of language arts, logical thinking, math, visual discrimination/reasoning, and a cooperative obstacle course. It was a day of team-building, comradery, and a whole lot of fun!
