“I believe that the teacher should serve as a guide to learning, leading the students to find ways to discover the answers in their own way, instead of merely providing them the answers.”
Personal and Professional Background
This is my fourth year teaching full-time at Butler Catholic. I teach Computers to students grades K – 8, and seventh and eighth grade Pre-Algebra. I earned my B.A. in International Business/Spanish from Grove City College. I earned my Teaching Certification and Masters in Business, Computers and Information Technology from Robert Morris University.
My husband Chris and I have two children. Our daughter, Julia, is in 11th grade at St. Joseph High School and our son, CJ, is in 8th grade at Butler Catholic. Coming from a family of teachers, I was able to see what a huge difference an invested teacher could make in a child’s life. After taking time off to raise my children, I am excited to now have the same chance to make that kind of a difference at work every day.
Outside of the classroom I love to travel and spend time with my family! We are members of St. Paul Church, where I am a lector.
