“I believe that all children have amazing strengths that can improve the dynamics of the classroom and that each child deserves the opportunity to learn the best way for him/her.”
Personal and Professional Background
I teach the all-day four year old preschool program. This is my sixth year at BCS. I had taught at St. Wendelin and as a substitute teacher before coming to BCS. I graduated from Butler Area School District. I attended St. Paul’s Sunday School Program through 12th grade. I graduated from Clarion University with an Early Childhood and Elementary Education degree.
My husband and I have three boys ages 12, 10, and 8 who attend Butler Catholic School. We are all members of St. Paul Church in Butler.
When the school day is over I enjoy life with my family. We like to spend time together doing just about anything. We especially enjoy going to Moraine, Erie, or visiting the museums or zoo in Pittsburgh.
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
There are many reasons Butler Catholic is special, but most important to me is how Butler Catholic prioritizes all learning around the importance of God, and how we as Catholics should care for each other. This sets an incredible foundation for life. Students at Butler Catholic treat one another with kindness, help each other, and are always willing to participate in a variety of projects. I also see parents and staff dedicating their time and doing everything possible to make our school so special.
