Beliefs
We believe:
- Education is to include the physical, intellectual, moral/spiritual and emotional aspects of a child's development.
- The curriculum is to provide an opportunity to achieve academic excellence and develop a life long love of learning in students.
- Teachers, parents, administrators and priests are to provide an atmosphere of loving concern for the students.
- Students are to show respect for themselves and others and assume responsibility for their part in the education process.
- Education is to be Christ centered and teach the authentic message of the Catholic Church so that students will grow in the Catholic faith and be able to make sound moral decisions.
- Teachers are to be professionally competent educational leaders.
- Teachers are to be committed to living the Catholic faith.
- Administrators are to be educational leaders, knowledgeable, consistent, available and facilitators of learning
- Administrators are to be visible, open-minded, fair and involved in providing guidance to teachers, parents and students.
- Priests are to be publicly supportive of Butler Catholic within their own parishes
- Priests are to be a presence in the school.
- Parents are to realize that school is an extension of homelife, and therefore they are to encourage religion and faith as part of family life.
- Parents are to be supportive of the school's personnel and policies and give of their time and talents.
- The Butler Catholic School community is to be committed to excellence in education while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Individuality is to be recognized and respected, and abilities and talents are to be promoted.
- An informed and involved community is essential to excellence in educational programs and services.
