January 10, 2008
Dear
Parents,
A very Happy New Year! May 2008 be filled with unending blessings from our Provident Father. Many, many thanks for your very kind, thoughtful, generous remembrances of me at Christmas. Each one is deeply appreciated.
As you can see, there are quite a few papers in this packet. Each one has a very important message. While it may seem early to look at enrollment for next year, it’s that time to “go ahead full steam.” And, we NEED YOU! The enclosed invitation to the Open House on January 31 is VERY IMPORTANT. Of course, you are most welcome to be here; we hope that you will give that invitation to a neighbor, friend, or a parishioner whose children are not here in Butler Catholic. Perhaps their “seeing and hearing” may lead them here. In addition to giving the invitation to another, your assistance in any of the other activities will be appreciated. Our goal is to have two rooms of every grade, each having 20 students. We can reach this by all of us working toward it. An outgrowth of this increase can mean a reduction in tuition! Let’s go for it!
Our Athletic Association is selling a 29-day raffle ticket based on the PA evening lottery drawing. You get 29 chances to win for $10. All basketball players have tickets or you can purchase one in the school office. The raffle takes place during the month of February.
Catholic Schools Week is celebrated January 27 through February 2, 2008. The “final edition” of activities will come home next week. We’re looking at having a Talent Show (click here to download Talent Show details). This year we cannot have any piano selections (THERE IS NO PIANO ON THE GYM FLOOR) or gymnastics (THERE ARE NO MATS). If your child would like to participate in the show, please complete the enclosed form and return it to me by Monday, January 14, 2008. Auditions will be on Thursday, January 24, after school. Once I get the forms, more information will be coming.
Together let us make Butler Catholic grow—grow in numbers, grow in learning success, but especially grow in reflecting Jesus to all we meet!
Thank you for being here at Butler Catholic. May our Provident God continue to shower you with unending blessings of His tremendous love.
Gratefully,
Sister
