June
6, 2006
Dear
Parents,
It’s so hard
to believe that this
is the last letter
for the 2005-06 school
year. How fast
the year has gone!
Thank you so much
for all of your cooperation,
concern, help, support
and care that you
have shown this year. Home
and school working
together means a
solid team for the
children we both
care about so much. The
word “Thank
You” seems
so simple, but it
means so much.
Just a few points of information:
- The
Basketball Camp
at Butler Catholic
scheduled for
June 12-16 is
cancelled. Hopefully
it will continue
next year. There
will be a camp
at St. Fidelis,
July 17-21. Call
Mr. Ryan at (724-445-2624) for
more information.
- There
is a very strong
possibility that
we will be receiving
school furniture
within the next
week. This
means that we will
have student desks
and chairs available
for the taking. (There
is no charge, but
donations will
be accepted.) If
you are able to
help unload the
truck, all hands
are welcome. High
school students
as well as our
seventh & eighth
graders can use
this as an opportunity
for community service. Please
complete and return
the form below.
- Please return
your SMART application
form along with
the $100 family
registration fee
by Wednesday, June
7.
- Last
week a “green
flyer” concerning “BC
Bucks help” went
home. We
received just one
reply. In
order for this
program to benefit
everyone, we need
help selling the
certificates. If
you can give about
90 minutes a week,
would you please
complete the form
below and return
it to the office.
- Reserve
Friday, July
21, 2006 for
the Robert Rose
Uniform Company. Representatives
will be here from
2:30-6:30 that
day for you to
purchase uniforms
for the next year,. All
shorts, skirts,
skorts, and jumpers
MUST be purchased
from this company. If
trousers and shirts
are purchased elsewhere,
they must conform
to the dress code. The
dress code is included
in this week’s
packet.
May
the days of summer
be relaxing, refreshing
and renewing for
you. Be
sure to have the
children have responsibilities
around the house
everyday. Just
as professional athletes
have their skills
in the off-season,
students too need
to read and do math
everyday to keep “sharp” in
these areas. Check
out the various sites
on your child and
teacher’s school
notes for ideas.
I’ll be here
basically all summer. Please
feel free to call
or stop in. May
you always feel the
presence of our Provident
God surrounding you
with His love, peace,
happiness and strength. Be
assured of a very
special remembrance
in my daily prayer. God
Bless.
Gratefully,
Sister
John Ann
