Dear Parents,
Happy Fall!! As we look to the beauty of color in this season, may the blessings of our Provident God be abundant upon you. There are a few things that I need to bring to your attention.
- If your child will not be attending school, please call the school office and let us know. Also, if you are requesting homework, please remember that it can be picked up in the office after dismissal. If you want it to be sent home with someone, please be sure to indicate that.
- Please, if there is a change in the usual dismissal pattern, it must be put in writing so that we know with whom the child is to go with.
- We are still in great need of “serving volunteers” in the Cafeteria. For it to run smoothly, we need four servers on each side. The longer it takes to serve the lunches, the less time the children have to eat. So even if you can just come once or twice a month from 10:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m., it would be a BIG, BIG HELP. Just fill in the form below and return it to the office.
- There is a clarification about wearing “spirit wear” clothing to school. Only Butler Catholic logo sweatshirts and hoodies are permitted, and these may be worn from November 1 to March 31. At this time, there is no reason for students to wear them during school hours. It is not healthy and being “too warm” is not the best learning environment. So, please observe the time frame. Beginning on Monday, September 27, students who are wearing them will be out of dress code and subject to the consequences of it.
- As stated at our “Meet the Teacher Night,” we need EVERYONE to be on board for the BC Bucks program. I realize it does take a bit of organizational planning and remembering. Just doing grocery gift cards at $450 per month per family would yield $3,000 per month. Without this steady flow, a tuition increase of at least $250 per family could be a possibility. Who wants that??? Gift cards are so simple. It is spending what you usually do. JUST REMEMBER: Get your cards BEFORE you shop. We have restaurants and retailers on hand as well as others on the mail-in form. Please use them. Those of you who have not done so, please begin. We need you and you are actually helping yourself.
- At all parishes this weekend, there will be a second collection for the flood victims. Instead of having the children bring in money, please have them contribute (from their own monies) to the parish collection. Maybe they could do little jobs for you around the house to “earn money.” It is very important that we teach our children to think of others by doing it ourselves.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and support. May Mary, Queen of the Rosary, constantly intercede for us before our Provident God. May you always feel His Presence in your lives. Have a wonderful change of season time. God bless!
Gratefully,
Sister John Ann |
