October 2, 2003
Dear Parents,
The
students' Halloween parties will be held on Thursday, October 30,
from 1:00-2:00 p.m. To help keep this day of "very high energy"
an educational day, as well as a calm day, children may come to
school in costume. While this may sound like a contradiction, experience
has shown otherwise.
These are the guidelines for costume choice:
- They are to be either a religious, historical,
or fictional character. (Outfit must be safe for school wear.)
- Students must know 3 facts about the character
they are portraying.
- Masks, shoes (clown, boots, high-heeled shoes,
slippers), gloves, and bulky accessories will be brought in a
bag and will be put on for the party. Toy guns, knives, etc. are
PROHIBITED.
Homeroom mothers will take care of the party. Please
do NOT send in any treats for the party.
PTG will provide a "treat" for the students.
Any candy treat that you would like to send in should be sent in
prior to the 30th. They will be used at the discretion of the teacher.
Parent helpers will be contacted by the Homeroom Mother.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Just a reminder-Market Day, McDonald's, & the PTG Meeting are
Monday and Tuesday respectively next week. I'm looking forward to
seeing you there. Until then, may the Queen of the Rosary always
keep you before our Provident God.
Gratefully,
Sister John Ann
