Letters to Parents

January 7, 2010

Principal, Sister John AnnDear Parents,

Happy New Year!  I pray that 2010 will be a year filled with the richest of our Provident God’s blessings.  May the most you wish for be the least that you receive.  Thank you for your many wishes and Christmas remembrances.  I truly appreciate your many kindnesses.

This week’s packet is full of important notices and reminders.  Some require a response from you so please be aware of those that have a “due date.”

One of the things included in this packet is the report of your Record of Volunteer Hours.  Quite a “few of you are well on your way” to completing them.  Please remember that the Coordinator/Chairperson of the event that you participated in MUST sign the sheet before you submit the form.  Also, students must be in high school to fulfill the requirement for family service.  Every family is required to give 50 hours of service or pay $10 for each hour not worked.  This is part of the School Support Contract.

Please continue to buy your BCBucks.  Just a reminder:  BCBucks Gift Certificates are no longer available and the recipient of the certificate does not get a “percentage of tuition credit.”  So that everyone is clear, tuition credit is applied for the May payment and only if you have reached the minimum purchase of $4,200 in BCBucks and/or Market Day products.

Coming up is the nationwide celebration of Catholic Schools Week.  The theme for this year is:

Catholic School—Dividends for Life!!!

Speak to others about Butler Catholic’s benefits and remember that the more students we have, the LOWER the tuition.  There will be an Information Night on Wednesday; February 3, 2010 at 7:00 PM so spread the word!!!  The Catholic Schools Week Activities Calendar will come out in two weeks.

Thank you for your cooperation, support and all that you do for BCS.  Home and school working together is the BEST PLAN for success for all students.  May we continue to execute this plan for the success of all students.
